Upcoming performances/ project:
At the end of this month, November 27th, 2017 I’ll be performing alongside four other actors in Fabulist Theatre’s Dim Sum Diaries. We’ll be doing a live reading of the play alongside a dim sum dinner at Pink Pearl Restaurant. Dim Sum Diaries is set in Vancouver which I think is really exciting because it’s rare that Vancouver gets to star as itself in projects. The show is based on five people and their perception of how Vancouver has changed since the influx of immigrants from Hong Kong in the 1990s. I’m playing Jenny, a woman who immigrated to Vancouver from Hong Kong.
I’m also the managing director for Midtwenties Theatre Society’s Above the Hospital playing at Red Gate Revue Stage January 12 – 21, 2018 and will performing as Sonia in Open Heart Theatre’s Teachers at the Jericho Arts Centre February 14-March 10, 2018.
Other projects I’m working on include producing the web series Misfortunes of a Kissgin in partnership with Eunoia Productions and pre-production for the the short film “Two Lonely Kids Record A Song Together” with YuanBeau Productions.

What is the highlight of your work?
The highlight of my work as an actor and producer is getting to bring stories to life from simple words on a page to a living breathing entity on stage and on film. I find so much joy in performing and more recently in helping others produce their projects and bring their stories to life. Everyone has a story to tell and I think every story is worth sharing, whatever that may be. It’s what keeps me striving to keep creating and collaborating.

Future goals:
To star in a Hollywood film where I can play an ordinary Canadian girl that happens to be Chinese, no accent required :) I would also love to write and produce that film so that I can inspire other female actresses and filmmakers to create more work and projects for themselves!
