Fail fast and fail hard so you learn as much as possible. Also don’t forget to celebrate the little wins, the path is too long not to stop and take a moment to appreciate. That’s one I’m trying to work on now.

What is the highlight of your work?
Creating a television series through my twenties has been the best and hardest mountain I’ve had to climb. Being nominated for Best Comedy at the Canadian screen awards (along side big shows like Schitt’s Creek and Workin’ Moms) was for sure a highlight. However, what I’m proudest of is directing half the season this year. It was a big step for me and we found some really hilarious and heartfelt moments.
Future goals:
I would love to make and direct a feature film to explore my creative voice even further (in what might be too odd for TV). However, I’m currently working on a new series as well. So we’ll see which one grabs me first! More importantly, I want to continue bringing representation to the screen and being a force to push through the glass ceiling.
