Occupation and/or Company:
I am an actress, writer and director. I play the leading role of Lou on CBC’s Heartland. I have also founded Medano Films and directed short films as well as the Digital Series spin off of Heartland titled Hudson.
Personal & professional philosophy: I only take part in projects that I believe in. The story doesn’t necessarily have to have some big moral lesson, but I have to get behind the principles and the heart of the story. I throw myself into it 100% and will do everything to make the project succeed.
Upcoming performances/ project:
The new season of Heartland will be premiering in January 2021 on CBC and the CBC Gem streaming.
What is the highlight of your work?
I love that moment in film and tv when a scene really comes together and something magical happens. The actors, crew members and writing just all gel and suddenly you are transported to another place and time. Another highlight is the incredible people I meet and get to work with.
Future goals:
I look forward to venturing further into directing both for television and film.
