Years of experience: 2 years
Occupation and/or Company: I work as an Art Department Coordinator or Assistant for IATSE 891 and ACFC, the film unions in Vancouver.
Personal & professional philosophy:
My personal philosophy in life is to enjoy what you do. I’m not much of a risk-taker, but the unstable and spontaneous nature of film really intrigued me. And the people, I love the people I work with. Everyone is so different and diverse. I like to take it day-by-day and focus on what makes me happy.
Upcoming performances/ project:
At the moment I’m working on a feature film called “Game Over, Man” and looking forward to the release of “Send Us Smokes”, which is currently in post-production.
What is the highlight of your work?
The highlight of my work so far was working on the independent film “Send Us Smokes” with Director Michelle Kee. As the film’s Production Designer, I had the opportunity to create my first ever period piece. With a tight budget, hard deadlines and a small but dedicated team, we worked around the clock to build the trench and many of the props and set pieces from scratch. The experience was incredibly rewarding.
